Futon, Anyone?
We have been dickering with an online furniture store over a recent purchase. As a result of an incorrect order, we find ourselves the owner of a black futon couch, mattress, and slipcover which we do not want. Also, we have an extra futon frame without a mattress. Is anybody interested in these? Or do you know someone who's recently been struck with a house fire or other disaster who needs replacement furniture quickly? This is a pick-up only deal, of course. We're not shipping this thing anywhere!

Uh oh! Sorry about the problems! And is "dickering" like Hickory Dickory Dock? I've nevered wondered about what dickory was...hm....
I think dickering is like haggling which is what you said you did in foreign places.
Anyway, they're sending us the proper bed, but don't want the one we have returned to them.
So is it usable without the mattress? Tim and I love free couches!
No, the extra frame would need to have a mattress. I think you could probably purchase one at a futon/bed store somewhere.
Anyway, we have two frames but only one mattress b/c of the way the store "tried" to correct our problem. They were just sure that we had the wrong frame and sent another. However, the whole set was the wrong thing.
They've written off the stuff they sent us and left it to us to dispose of it.
Yea, the futon found a home at ... Margie's! She's the high bidder (which means she got Lydia to say she'd come get it) :)
I'm so glad you can use it. I'm going to keep the other empty frame for now and see if I can use it on the patio with some outdoor cushions on it.
