This past weekend hub and I had a table at a local gun show. Hub advertises his concealed handgun class, sells some brass for reloading bullets, and generally looks to see what he can buy from other vendors.
I have half the table for my Arbonne display. People stop the look at the photos of before/after the use of our products, ask about the difference, tell about their own skin care woes, and order products.
All in all, this one was more successful than the last two we've attended. We see the some of the same vendors each time and catch up with them. The jewelry lady made me some earrings and two watch bracelets out of red coral and black onyx. They're beautiful! And, of course, I showed off baby pictures.
In other news, our Sunday School department decided on our mission project. They want to do ALL of the ones suggested by various members of the dept. They are:
make good bags for CPS including small toys, a Bible storybook, toothpaste/toothbrush,shampoo; visit clients of Meals on Wheels to do small maintenance/repairs; visit homebound department to do the same; partner with another church in getting a teen center remodeled, staffed, programmed for tutoring. This last one is very long-term but we're excited about making a difference in our community. The other projects we'll do on a monthly basis. I thought people would vote on one project to do....no, God has bigger plans than that! So I was blown away when they wanted to take on all these projects. I know God will give us the strength, time and resources to do them for His glory.
