Generations
Seeing recent photos of my grandkids made me think about my own kids at that same age. Here are some comparisons:
John and Ian at one year,
Lydia and Caleb at three months

Idyllic View
This is one of the many beaches in St. Thomas. In the distance are islands of the British Virgin Islands also. Our guide said the Clintons once stayed in a house on this bay. At the far right, the tiny strip of white is actually a beach, much larger than it looks here. We were pretty high up the mountain for this view.

Ian's First Birthday
We went to Waco yesterday for Ian's first birthday party. Of course Karen had everything planned, executed, decorated, and served to perfection.
At the door is the welcome with the Game Plan posted. We signed in at the Roster, then proceeded to the refreshment table decorated with a football field, pennants, and football-shaped chocolate cupcakes decorated like footballs. Huge sausage dogs, buns, condiments, chips, dips, and drinks rounded out the tailgate party. There were 25 guests of all ages who had a great time. My photos are few so I'm anxious to see Karen's post on this. I know she was exhausted when it was all over, but happy that she'd achieved a memorable occasion for all of us.
Writing "LOTS"
BTW, I did check blogs some during our vacation(s) and I appreciate those who are blogging regularly so I didn't feel so out of the loop while gone. :)

Caleb's dedication
What a blessing Sunday was! Caleb's parents dedicated themselves to raise Caleb in the word of the Lord, and Pastor Al spoke blessings over his life. Family and friends gathered and celebrated and it was such a sweet fellowship.
Thank you God for our family!
Retirement Party!
